In the upcoming 52 minute documentary on fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld's life, he sheds some light into his unique childhood. He shares the memories "When I asked her [my mother] to tell me stories, she would say, 'Learn to read.' And when I wanted to tell her one, she would come back with: 'You may be four years old, but I am not.'" Looks like someone's creative genius was born from tough love.
